The partners Antonio Gaspar and Ticiana Kirszberg participated at the “Second International Congress on Law, Government and Technology”, held in Brasília on September 26-27. The event gathered international specialists, judges, representatives of large companies, government leaders in the area of information technology, lawtechs and national researchers to discuss issues related to the use of technology and artificial intelligence in the field of law.

As put by Antonio, “our participation underscores the firm’s attention to the theme, keeping us connected with the main innovations in the market. The modern practice of law requires knowledge of jurimetrics, analytics and prediction, something that clients are increasingly demanding, to the point of being essential for new businesses in the very near future. We are prepared!”

Among the highlights of the congress was the presence during the opening ceremonies of Judge Dias Toffolli, Chief Justice of the Brazilian Supreme Court, Justice Brito Pereira, president of the Superior Labor Tribunal, Justice Raimundo Carreiro, president of the Federal Audit Tribunal, Justice Ricardo Vilas Boas Cuevas of the Superior Tribunal of Justice, Hilarie Bass, former president of the American Bar Association, and Judge Ayres Brito, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

All of them stressed the importance of the event and demonstrated that the judges are preparing themselves to face the challenges of the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution, where structured information and data are considered the “new petroleum”.
