EDICT AUTHORIZES REMOTE PERFORMANCE OF THE ACTIVITIES OF APPRENTICES
11/08/2020
In the vacuum left by the lapse of Provisional Measure 927/2020, on Friday (August 7) the Special Secretariat for Productivity, Employment and Competitiveness, part of the Ministry of the Economy, issued Edict 18,775, authorizing the theoretical and practical activities of professional training programs to be carried out remotely (distance learning) while the state of public calamity caused by the Covid-19 pandemic lasts (until December 31, 2020).
However, the entities responsible for this training, together with the establishments where the apprentices work, must: (a) assure that the apprentices have access to the technological equipment and infrastructure necessary and suitable to perform the theoretical and practical activities of the programs remotely; and (b) guarantee that the activities carried out by the apprentices in the distance learning modality (theoretical and practical) are related to the occupation indicated in the contract and the training program.
