The ranking of The Legal 500 Latin America for 2018 once again mentions CGVF as among the main law firms in the insurance area in Brazil. João Paulo Sa de Freitas, a member of the firm’s Special Causes and Consulting team, is ranked in first place on the list of “Next Generation Lawyers”, also in insurance.

João Paulo has a Masters, multidisciplinary training from specialization courses and has extensive experience in strategic litigation. He joined the firm in 2013 and among other important matters, he defends the interests of insurers in cases with great technical complexity and/or large amounts at stake, besides providing advice to national and international insurers, reinsurers and brokers along with foreign investors in regulatory and compliance matters. Finally, he drafts and revises contractual clauses and supports clients in administrative proceedings conducted by Brazil’s insurance regulator, SUSEP.
